New Boat Ramp Coming to Tomahawk Bay Marina

Exciting changes are coming to Tomahawk Bay Marina! Building permits for a new boat ramp have just been issued by the City of Portland, making way for a major new amenity for Columbia Crossings customers.

Designed by civil engineers Humber Design Group and Lorraine Guthrie Architect, the new ramp will be located on the southeast side of Tomahawk Bay. In addition to providing a dedicated launching and retrieval point, the project will include walking paths and native landscaping along Ricky Point. This work will be done by Nick Lake of Earth Ecology who has worked with Columbia Crossings to design and build the landscaping at Pal's and the new basalt column crevice garden at Jantzen Bay.

The ramp will be available exclusively to Columbia Crossings customers and operated by our staff. After construction is complete, Columbia Crossings will offer a convenient, year-round storage solution for boaters.

With this service, Columbia Crossings employees can take your boat out of the water at the end of the boating season, store it over the winter, and return it to the water when you're ready to get back out on the river. It's a simple, hassle-free option designed to make boat ownership and seasonal storage more convenient for our customers.

As construction gets underway, we’ll continue to share updates on the project. We are scheduled to begin in September and be finished in time for the 2027 boating season.
