Summer Scoops & Exciting Changes at Jantzen Bay

Looking for the perfect summer stop? There's never been a better time to visit Navigator Coffee at Jantzen Bay Marina.

Whether you're craving one of Navigator's handcrafted espresso drinks or cooling off with their seasonal ice cream flavors, you'll also have a front-row seat to some exciting improvements taking shape around the marina this summer.

Beginning this Tuesday, artist and ecologist Nick Lake of Earth Ecology will begin installing the new basalt column crevice garden, a one-of-a-kind landscape inspired by the dramatic rock formations of the Columbia River Gorge. Filled with native Pacific Northwest plants, the garden will become a beautiful new feature of the marina and a place for visitors to discover the unique flora of our region.

The improvements don't stop there. A new waterfront boardwalk is coming to the area outside Navigator Coffee, complete with trees, benches, and inviting places to sit, relax, and take in the river while enjoying your favorite coffee or a scoop of ice cream.

Behind the scenes, work is also underway to make visiting Jantzen Bay easier and more enjoyable. The parking area is receiving new asphalt, refreshed landscaping, and a complete redesign to improve both appearance and functionality. A new secure parking area enclosed by seven-foot Batu wood fencing will be created where the current overflow parking and Angelina's Gyros are located.

New location for food cart pod

As part of the transformation, Angelina's Gyros will move to the parking area directly in front of Navigator Coffee, where it will be joined by two additional food carts. Together, they'll create a small food cart destination with even more dining options for marina guests, boaters, cyclists, and neighborhood visitors.

Construction will continue throughout the summer, so you may notice a little extra activity during your visit. We appreciate your patience as we work to create a safer, more comfortable, and more beautiful destination for everyone.
